When someone becomes a Sticky Fingers Cooking franchise owner, they become part of a community. Unlike a traditional job where someone is hired to work in a location with their colleagues during the week, a franchise owner might be across the country from their fellow franchise owners and the brand’s headquarters.

The geographical distance between franchise locations is not a barrier, however, to having a cohesive network that is powered by shared goals, awareness, and best practices—between franchise owners and also with their franchisor.

Come Together as One

One of the responsibilities of a franchisor is to bring their franchise owners together consistently.

When someone invests in a franchise business, they are investing in themselves and a brand. A most rewarding part of franchising is how people can learn from one another without competitiveness and maintain shared goals.

With seven owners as of October 2024, we planned the first ever 3-day Sticky Fingers Cooking Summit in Denver, where the company was founded and headquarters are based. Each of our franchise owners had been to Denver at least once before for their training and onboarding after they purchased their franchise location.

Our reasons for this get-together included:

1. Spending time together face-to-face, whether that as sharing a meal, participating in a learning activity, or listening to an inspiring guest speaker.

2. Sharing company updates in person so we could engage with direct questions and answers for everyone.

3. Providing opportunities for our franchise owners to get to know each other so that they can easily communicate and share what they learn as business owners across locations. When they can be cheerleaders for each other, it’s a win for all of them!

Some of our franchise owners have said that they had dreams of starting a business on their own before discovering the Sticky Fingers Cooking franchise opportunity. They had already walked away from the idea of business ownership because it felt daunting to start from scratch, but with a franchise they found that there is always someone to turn to with a question and that, we believe, is what community is all about.

Cheering, Supporting, Learning—Together!

“We had a three-day event that was absolutely incredible, our first annual franchise owner summit, bringing all of our franchise owners together to share, to learn, to grow, and to celebrate together,” Erin says in the video.

“You can’t do anything alone in this world so it’s all about building community and building teams, creating systems and support, and it’s just wonderful to see this emerging community unfold,” Erin shares.
