Sticky Fingers Cooking of San Diego Expansion News
Victoria Jones, the franchise owner of Sticky Fingers Cooking serving San Diego, is expanding with a second territory after just one year in business!

We’ve got big news: one of our first franchise owners, Victoria Jones, located in San Diego, has purchased her second territory! This is a significant milestone for her and the brand. Congratulations, Victoria Jones!
When someone opens a business—franchise or otherwise—they determine where to be based so that customers can best access their products or services. In franchising, the ideal locations, also called territories, are determined by the franchisor when they award a territory to a franchise owner.
At Sticky Fingers Cooking, each territory must have at least 50,000+ children so that the franchise business owner can leverage their offerings for optimum success in their market. During her first year in business, Victoria found a demand for Sticky Fingers Cooking (SFC) classes beyond her first territory.
“Our classes have organically grown into these areas per the word getting out about how awesome SFC is,” she says. “So it’s natural that we expand into North County."
In her first territory, Victoria has collaborated with 86 schools, Boys and Girls Clubs, and other venues and has employed 20 chef instructors. Since opening in 2024, she and her team have led over 1,300 classes for San Diego school children!

Running an Education Franchise
The franchise business model works best when the brand is strengthened by name recognition as more and more customers hear about the service. Expansion is a key way for a company to reach more people—in this case, kids through after-school enrichment cooking classes—and that in turn benefits the franchise business owner and those who want to enroll in classes.
In its original location in Denver, Colorado, Sticky Fingers Cooking has often had waitlists for our after-school enrichment cooking classes and local summer camp sessions. Yes, kids are lining up to try new foods through creating our original recipes for themselves, have a STEAM hands-on learning experience, and be part of our motto, “Thyme to Turnip the Beet on What Kids Eat®!”

Sticky Fingers Cooking® CEO and founder, Erin Fletter, grew up in San Diego so this news is close to her heart and soul. “Watching Victoria grow her thriving Sticky Fingers business in my hometown of Encinitas and North San Diego County–including her team now teaching at my childhood school, Flora Vista Elementary–is incredibly full-circle,” Erin gushes. “I’m bursting with pride for Victoria, her team, and all the kids in the North County community. This is exactly why I started Sticky Fingers Cooking!!”

She adds, “Victoria’s success in just one year and now expansion to a second territory is living proof that our business model works–it’s scalable, impactful, and deeply rooted in community connections.”
Become a Franchise Business Owner
Sticky Fingers Cooking created a successful business that is scalable in the right territory, which we have mapped out so there’s no guesswork. We believe that “every child deserves a seat at the table—learning essential life skills through food, fun, and exploration.” When our cooking classes become available in a new community, it means more kids get the chance to explore their “cool’inary curiosity” with us and then at home in their own kitchens.
